Congratulations are extended to Councillor Sinead Guckian, Drumsna who was re-elected to Leitrim County Council on Saturday June 6th last and to New Councillor John Ward from Gortinty who was also elected to Leitrim County Council on Saturday. The best of luck to both of them.
The Eco living Festival took place in The Community Centre on June 6th / 7th. This festival on how to take the plunge into sustainable living was a wonderful week-end with talks, demonstrations, field trips, displays, bookstall, wild foods, green refreshments and live music. Photos
Congratulations to the the fifth and sixth class students who were confirmed by Bishop Colm O Reilly in Annaduff Church on 23rd April. The wonderful ceremony was a credit to the Children, their Parents, the Choir, Father John Wall and especially their Teacher Deirdre McKeon.
Rehearsals by The Active Aged Group for the May Madness Social in the Bush Hotel are continuing. Expect the house to be brought down on the night.The May Madness Social for Bealtine will be held in the Bush Hotel, Carrick on Shannon on Thursday night May 5th at 8:00 pm.

Annaduff GAA have officially launched their gold rush competition.
Squares are on sale at EUR5 each, the draw will take place in August 2009. 1st prize is a EUR3000 of gold bullion, 2nd, 3rd and fourth prizes are EUR1000 worth of silver each. Squares on sale at usual outlets.

The Church of The Immaculate Conception in Drumsna has been decorated in preparation for our Christmas Celebrations, much credit to Margaret Maguire, Ella Gannon and Colleen Guckian.

The Golden Age Christmas Party was a great success, the entertainment included Sean Nos Dancing, Irish Music, Festive songs and recitations.


Annaduff Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 Teams receive their medals from County Star Emlyn Mulligan.

Drumsna awarded the Tidy Towns Endeavor Award to add to the numerous awards received by the village this year.

Congratulations to Drumsna's Sinead Guckian who recently graduated with a BA in Fine Art from IT Sligo

Well done to the Annaduff under 12 team who won the County Final, this title adds to the under 14 and under 16 championships already won by the club this year.

The Leitrim sub Aqua Club held a family fun day in the river and on the bank on Saturday September 20th.

A very well supported race night was held in Taylor's Bar, Drumsna on 12th July to raise funds for the construction of 4 schools in Ghana by a group including local electrician Derek Kellegher and his colleague Cathal Shivnan.
